Shawnee, Oklahoma

This place became my home. I found a family here filled with wonderful friends who were given from above. My last week in Shawnee was very special. I had some crazy new adventures and said goodbye to many dear people here. I guess I should just put some of the highlights.

1. Lunch with Mrs. Sandra Bradley. Where would I be without this woman? I asked Him for a mentor and he filled my needs. She has counseled, encouraged, and stretched me in a lot of ways over the past year. I have loved our talks and I know there will be many more to come.

2. Lunch with Dr. Brian Camp. My advisor and friend. He got me through college. He cared about me not only as a student but also as a sister in the Lord's family.

3. Coffee with Raliegh and Cari. Sweet conversations over coffee. What more is needed in life?

4. Kayaking with Sara, Chris, and Rachel. I have been wanting to go kayaking for a while. They completely surprised me with a kayaking adventure and dinner at a Moroccan restaurant.

5. STAR SKATE with my youth and Chris. It was so much fun. We skated and danced and laughed and I was given the chance to say goodbye to these precious girls in a less pressured environment.

6. Commissioning Service. Being lifted up before our father by the people I have served with. These people who I hold dear.
There are so many more stories and moments from that week that I will remember in the months ahead. Being encouraged and appreciated. I know without a doubt that though I am ending this season in Shawnee, these relationships will not end. They will be in my thoughts and I know they will be lifting me up while I am gone. He has brought these people into my life and I am very grateful. Nothing I could write here or share could come close to showing my appreciation for ALL the people I have met in Shawnee. Please know that there was no way I could include everyone who has touched my life in the past years. This is a synopsis of the last week.
