Meet Moses! I spent Saturday cruising down back roads to the middle of the Arbuckle wilderness of Oklahoma. My dear friend Rachel and I had a wonderful adventure. We headed out early Saturday morning. First, we went to the GW Exotic Animal Park. Its this really cool place where they rescue animals from all over, mainly big cats (like my friend Moses). They have the largest number of tigers in captivity in one place, I believe.We got to see some really cool animals such as Bengal tigers, Indo-Chinese tigers, Siberian tigers, White tigers, Lions, Ligers, Talions, Taligers, Bears, Wolves, Camels, Monkeys, etc. and hear their stories and that small fence you see is all that separated me from them!After meeting the Big Guys, we had the amazing privilege to play with a BABY TIGER!
Next, we headed to the Arbuckle Wilderness. It's basically a small drive through safari in the middle of nowhere, Oklahoma. We had a blast. Upon first arriving we bought some animal food and headed in. The animals will come right up to your car and stick their heads in looking for the food! It's crazy. Well, the food was quickly lost when a camel got a hold on it and refused to let go. A few of the animals we saw were zebas (strange looking animals similar to a llama), emus, llamas, ostriches, zebras, camels, giraffes, yaks, turtles, and of course BISON (OBU, all hail thy name). My two favorite parts were laughing hysterically each time an unexpected visitor poked their head in my car to say hello and the zebra traffic jam! At one point, we got to a spot in the road and there was a zebra standing straight in front of us. It would not move for anything. Then another one got right behind us and one came to my side of the car. We sat this way for about 5 minutes before another car came along that actually had food. Priceless. It was definitely a day, I will never forget! Here are a few more photos to enjoy.
